Location is the artist's first photo book that contains architectural cross-sections of the East Asian metropolis taken by photographer Choi Yongjoon from 2015 to 2018. Graphic planarity, youthful sense of colour between pastel and primary colours, space urban underlined with anonymity and vernacular architecture are some of the formulas that describe the photographs of Choi Yongjoon. In particular, his sense of the aesthetic that captures the blind spots that occur between urban spaces and buildings in a photogenic formative language is a new reminder of the high-density urban spaces of East Asia.

Aprilsnow Press is a small publishing house based in Daegu, Korea. Launched in the year 2013, it publishes a small number of books per year, mostly photobooks. Run by design writer Kay Jun and book designer Jeong Jae-wan, Aprilsnow Press evolves around three keywords; photography, text and design. Having background in graphic design, both Kay Jun and Jeong Jaewan see publishing as part of their project of questioning the relationship between photography, text and design. Each book published by Aprilsnow Press is thus interpreted as a live platform of practicing the relationship of these three keywords.
