Poèmes écrits à la main par Haydée Touitou sur son papier à lettre.

Haydée Touitou est auteure et co-fondatrice de The Skirt Chronicles. Son premier livre, We Have Been Meaning To, a été publié par Art Paper Editions en 2020.

Avec ces poèmes écrits à la main sur ses cartes de correspondance, Haydée explore ce que pourraient être des "poèmes nature morte". Cette première série joue sur l’idée de restes, ou ce qui est encore là après la fin.

Handwritten poems by Haydée Touitou on her stationary.

Haydée Touitou is a writer and one of the co-founders of The Skirt Chronicles. Her first book, We Have Been Meaning To, was published by Art Paper Editions in 2020.

In these hand-written poems on her stationary, Haydée explores what "Still Life Poems" would feel like. This first series plays with the idea of remains, or what is left when everything is gone.

Fresh laundry
Lit by a broken lamp
Before the sun rose

Empty toothpaste
The smell of
garlic and coffee
coming from the trash

Cold Nescafé
on my stomach
The day after the heatwave

An army of crumbs
Expired Ketchup
Instant boredom

Butter melting on a plate
Pizza from yesterday night
And your underwear

Things to love even
When they're bad
Coffee and Noodles
Apple juice and snow

Dumb lit
Inarticulate
Incoherent
Tongue-tied
And quiet

Rain on the leaves
Under the sun
Absolutely no
Rainbow in sight

Table cloths
Origami boats
Morning curtains
Piñata starter
Doodle paradise

An old blanket
At the foot
of clean curtains
