Pierre Charpin

Born in 1962, Pierre Charpin studied at the École nationale supérieure d'art de Bourges and graduated in 1984. In the early 1990s, he decided to concentrate on designing objects and furniture.

Charpin's work is characterized by its simplicity, elegance, and functionality. He often uses traditional materials in innovative ways, and his designs are often inspired by nature. Charpin has collaborated with a number of prestigious brands, including Hermès, Baccarat, and Alessi. He has also exhibited his work in galleries and museums around the world.

Charpin has received numerous awards for his work, including the Compasso d'Oro in 1997 and the Designpreis der Bundesrepublik Deutschland in 2003. He is a member of the Alliance Graphique Internationale and the Académie des Beaux-Arts.
